Copper plumbing has been North America’s building material of choice for 75 years. Dating back to 2750 B.C., copper plumbing was and continues to be engineers and professional plumbers’ first choice for durable and reliable plumbing material. Over 85% of North American homes and businesses rely on copper plumbing. Similarly, copper plumbing is a staple on all European properties. While many other materials have come on the market in recent years, copper plumbing maintains its rein as the leading water and heating system material.
Why use copper plumbing?
In past years, plastic manufacturers have attempted to enter the plumbing industry. While most home and business owners now have the choice of PVC or copper plumbing, industry professionals continue to favour copper plumbing for its durability, ease, and efficiency. PVC may seem like a cost effective solution but over time, it will end up costing people thousands in maintenance and repairs. Copper plumbing is a hassle-free solution.
Maintenance:
People rely heavily on their plumbing system and no one wants to deal with faulty plumbing. Any disruption in service will heavily impede people’s daily activities. While plastic is known to become brittle with age and eventually crake or crumble, copper plumbing is extremely durable and can withstand earthquakes and severe temperatures with ease. Similarly, copper plumbing resists corrosion and maintains its shape and strength despite high water pressure or extreme heat. Designed for durability and capable of withstanding the elements and time, copper plumbing is the ideal building material for all plumbing systems.
Health:
Copper is a natural and environmentally friendly building material. Additionally, copper plumbing is biostatic and impermeable, resisting bacterial growth and contaminants. Unlike plastic, copper plumbing does not burn or emit toxic fumes in a home fire.
How do you maintain your copper plumbing?
While copper plumbing is proven durable and efficient, like all plumbing systems, it is still prone to scale and build-up. With water, waste, and minerals flowing through copper plumbing pipes on an hourly basis, all pipes accumulate a fair amount of scale. This not only inhibits water flow but can lead to copper plumbing pipe leaks.

Computers are a staple in all modern schools and homes. While people young and old are able to deftly navigate the Internet and popular programs, applications, and games, few desktop or laptop owners know how to properly care for their computer parts. As one of the most touched and handled household item, computers accumulate a fair amount of wear and tear. It is essential that all computer owners purchase specialized keyboard and LCD cleaners to rid surfaces of germs, particles, and dust to keep their desktops and laptops in pristine condition.
The computer’s LCD screen is one of its most delicate and precious components. People tend to mistake their monitor screens for glass, but in fact, an LCD is a complex layer of fragile liquid crystals, circuits, and other materials. While considerably thinner and lighter and requiring less power than older display technologies, LCD screens are magnets for dust, fingerprint smudges, and damage and necessitate LCD cleaners. Unfortunately, LCD screens’ high susceptibility to dust and damage combined with owners general laziness and lack of proper LCD cleaners, renders this computer part especially dirty.
Why can’t you just use Windex and a paper towel? Unlike their older glass counterparts, modern screens require soft clothes and a specialized LCD cleaner. More sensitive than traditional glass screens, new monitors are prone to suffering permanent damage due to improper LCD cleaners and cleaning materials. Although few people consider paper towels hard or harsh, these everyday absorbent cloths can actually scratch or etch LCD screens. Similarly, harsh chemicals may cause permanent cloudiness or leave streaks, making it especially important that all conscientious laptop and desktop owners purchase professional grade LCD cleaners. To avoid unsightly and costly damages to their screens, everyone must regularly clean their LCD with gentle but effective LCD cleaners.
What is the best LCD cleaner for you? Asalco Inc. is a leading manufacturer and distributor of high quality electronic maintenance products. Their professional grade LCD and Plasma Cleaner is safe on both glossy and non-glare coatings and dries streak free. Ideal for both computer screens and televisions, this LCD cleaner is a must-have staple for all modern homes.
So, what next? After purchasing an LCD cleaner from Asalco Inc, computer owners should turn off their screen and unplug their computer screen and/or computer from its power source. After carefully examining the screen for dirt, dust, and fingerprint smudges, they can use a soft microfiber cloth to safely remove dust without scratching the monitor. It is important that computer owners never spray their LCD cleaner straight onto the screen. Alternatively, they should spray the LCD cleaner onto a clean microfiber cloth and softly wipe the screen in a circular motion. If using Asalco Inc.’s LCD cleaner and the appropriate soft cloth, owners should now have a clean and streak free screen.
Asalco Inc. is the first place people should turn to for high quality and safe LCD cleaners. To find out more about their LCD cleaners and other computer maintenance products, visit www.asalco.com.

How often does your computer need to be cleaned? Well, that depends on a few things, such as in environment and who uses it. If it is in dusty industrial setting, in a home with pets or the kids are the primary users, then cleaning the computer once a month might not be a bad idea.
Multiple users in a computer in a tidy office may only need a clean every three months. An adult non-smoking user living in a pet-free home may only need to clean the computer once in 5 months.
First, wipe the outside of the computer with a soft cloth moisten with alcohol. Asalco IPA AE 107 (Isopropyl alcohol) dries quickly and is made for electronics. Cotton swabs can be used to get into small spaces in the keyboard and mouse. Vacuums should never be used to clean the internal workings of a computer as they generate too much static electricity and can damage sensitive internal computer components.
To clean a computer with an LCD/flat panel display monitor, it’s very important to use a product that is specially made to clean an LCD/Plasma screen. Asalco LCD/Plasma Cleaner AE112 is perfect for the job. Avoid using paper towels as they can easily scratch the screen. Gently wiping the screen with a soft dry cloth will do the trick and remove most traces of dirt and fingerprints. For a really dirty monitor, the cloth can be lightly moisten with alcohol.
The inside of the computer can be cleaned by opening the side panel and using compressed air or duster (Asalco Duster AE 305, for example) to blow out dust, dirt, and hair that has collected inside. ElectroStatic Discharge (ESD) can destroy vital parts of your computer hardware, so use extreme care when cleaning in around the computer’s interior.
When cleaning a computer, you may also wish to clean its accessories. To clean the scanner, simply spray glass cleaner (Asalco Glass Cleaner AE 109) onto a paper towel and wipe the glass scanner bed. The outside of your printer can be wiped clean using a soft cloth moistened with alcohol, but we recommend that you refer to your printer’s instruction manual before attempting to clean any internal components.
